Spend a Friday with Me

I decided to do a quick vlog yesterday for TikTok and Instagram taking you on a Friday with me as a work from home teacher and mom.

You can watch the video version on TikTok or Instagram or keep reading below for the day in the life + links to all of my favorite things you see in the videos.

Also studied for a bit after work but that didn’t make the video cut – yesterday was a pretty great day ❤️

I don’t teach live classes on Friday unless I am doing a fun session with my students so it is typically a day for me to get in a lot of planning, trainings, meetings, admin work, and any catch up work that needs to be done.

I started my day at 5:45 am to get ready for my workout. For breakfast I had a Bolthouse Farms chocolate protein shake. I was not in a cooking mood yesterday morning and had no breakfast foods prepped. It was super filling and I will definitely get more of those. It was my first time trying it and I loved it. For my pre-workout, I used Alani Nu Island Crush and mixed it with water using my frother.

Today I was wearing this sports bra from Shein: https://mavely.app.link/e/GxedhMSoRMb and these shorts: https://amzn.to/3B5acm3

For my workout, I started with slow flow yoga focused on my hips and legs and then moved onto a strength training workout focused on legs. I really wanted to run, but it was pouring rain so I focused on my legs inside instead. I finished up with a core workout and then headed to get ready for my work day.

After getting ready and heading up to my office, I started the day with answering emails and doing some admin work before heading into a planning meeting with coworkers. After that, I worked on a newsletter and completed some trainings before my lunch break.

During my lunch break, Cat and I went to William’s Farm Store & Market for some produce and fun fall items. For lunch & dinner (not much time to cook today) I had leftovers from last night. I made a protein pasta using Barilla Protein Pasta, shredded chicken, and homemade pasta sauce made with tomatoes from our garden. It was really good and I will definitely make it again. I think I will add broccoli in the future, but my husband was dealing with some dental work and his mouth was sore so I kept it easy to chew this time and left off the broccoli.

Snacks today were:

1). Mighty Spark Honey & Jalapeno Chicken Sticks – I am OBSESSED with these. They are so good and as someone without a gallbladder, they don’t bother my stomach at all which is amazing. Great source of protein and has a nice kick to it if you love spice like me. If you don’t love spicy, the Teriyaki is also delicious.

2). Apple and PB Fit Peanut Butter – this was my first time trying the peanut butter powder. It was really good, easy to make, and seems like it will last longer than a regular jar of peanut butter. I will say I doubled the serving size to have enough for an entire apple.

3). Alani Nu Caramel Crunch Protein Bar

After lunch, it was back to work for makeup testing with a student and lesson planning. When my work day was over, I sat down to study for my CPT exam. Next was putting on makeup and packing the van for a rainy soccer game before eating dinner.

Cat and I had so much fun watching Auburn Soccer secure their 8th win which also happened to be their 8th shut out. She got to chat with her 3 favorite players after the game and it was a great girl’s night with just the two of us even if we got home way past my bedtime.
